Originally built as a farmhouse in 1726, our house has been a family property since then. It has been modernised intensively and was steadily transformed from a former farmhouse into what is now a comfortable Schmachtenbergshof Hotel-Restaurant and restaurant.
Start your day off with an extensive and varied breakfast in the morning. Relax in the evening in our hotel-own tavern with a glass of wine from our wine cellar or a fresh draught beer.
On request and depending on availability, the Schmachtenbergshof Hotel-Restaurant also offers an in-house massage service. For your sportive activities there is a bowling alley at our guests’ disposal.

The fair trade centre of Essen is approx. 10 km away, the fair trade centre in Duesseldorf approx. 25 km. Both fairgrounds can easily be reached via motorway.
In direct proximity of the Schmachtenbergshof Hotel-Restaurant you will find the lake “Baldeneysee” and the "Villa Huegel". The protected World Heritage Site “Zeche Zollverein” is also easily accessible from here (15 km).
Opposite the hotel, there is the city forest which offers various sports activities such as walking or jogging.

Centrally located in the southern Ruhrgebiet, the is peacefully set in Essen-Kettwig’s residential area. In direct proximity you will find ideal transport connections and all major highways.

If you arrive by car, take the motorway A52 and exit at “Kettwig” (no. 26), following direction Kettwig for approx. 3 km. Pass the “Esso” gas station and turn left at the next traffic light. You will find our at 1 km distance on your left hand side.
Coming from the fairgrounds, take the bus no. 142. From the main station take the regional express train (S-Bahn) S6 towards Kettwig. Change onto the bus and get off at “Schmachtenbergstrasse”. The bus stop is about 100 m from the hotel.

Προτίμηση γεύματος: Ο πρωινός μπουφές συμπεριλαμβάνεται στην τιμή του δωματίου.
Χώρος στάθμευσης: Δημόσιος χώρος στάθμευσης δωρεάν, στο χώρο του ξενοδοχείου.
Κατοικίδια: Τα κατοικίδια επιτρέπονται κατόπιν αιτήματος. Χωρίς επιπλέον χρέωση.
